1. Who we are

AlignStill is a yoga and mindfulness practice based in South West London, offering private sessions, corporate workplace wellbeing programmes, and on-demand video content. Sessions may take place online or in person.

2. What information we collect and why

We only collect information that is necessary to deliver our services. The lawful basis for each type of processing is noted below.

Enquiries and contact form

We collect your name, email address, and any information you choose to share in your message. Used to respond to your enquiry. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Session bookings — private clients

We collect your name, email address, contact details, and any relevant health or injury information you share to help tailor sessions. Payment is processed securely through Squarespace Payments (Stripe). We do not store or access your full payment card details. Lawful basis: contract performance.

Corporate bookings

We collect the name and contact details of the person making the booking, company name, and invoicing details. This information is used to deliver agreed services, issue invoices, and maintain written terms. Lawful basis: contract performance and legitimate interests.

Mailing list

If you sign up to receive updates, we collect your email address and use it to send occasional communications. You can unsubscribe at any time. Lawful basis: consent.

On-demand video content and memberships

Where on-demand video content or a membership offering is available, we may collect your name, email address, and payment information to manage access. On-demand content may be hosted via Squarespace or Vimeo. Where content is hosted on Vimeo, Vimeo's own privacy policy applies to data processed through their platform. Lawful basis: contract performance.

Website analytics

We may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use this website. Data is aggregated and does not directly identify individuals. Analytics cookies are only placed with your consent. Lawful basis: consent.

3. How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:

  • Enquiry and contact form data: 12 months from last contact

  • Booking and payment records: 7 years (HMRC requirement)

  • Corporate client records: 7 years from end of relationship

  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe

  • Health and injury information: deleted within 30 days of end of client relationship unless requested otherwise

4. How your data is stored

This website is hosted on Squarespace, which securely stores form submissions, booking data, and transaction records. Reasonable measures are in place to protect personal data from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access. Where sessions are delivered via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet, each platform's own privacy policy applies to data processed through their service.

5. Sharing your information

Personal information is not sold or shared for marketing purposes. It is shared only where necessary:

  • With Stripe / Squarespace Payments to process transactions securely

  • With Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet to deliver online sessions

  • With Squarespace or Vimeo to host on-demand video content

  • With other qualified yoga teachers who may deliver sessions under the AlignStill name — provided only with the information needed to deliver the session

  • With HMRC or other authorities where legally required

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data held about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your data

  • Withdraw consent for mailing list communications at any time

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests

  • Lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk
